1975 Kawasaki Z1B in Detroit, MI

This bike is a great runner. I have owned it since 6/1992. When I purchased it there was only about 4,000 miles on the odometer. Only driven when weather conditions were very good. First few years of ownership I put on about 1,000 miles per year. For the past 15 or so years it has been rode only to attend a local antique and vintage motorcycle show which put on only about 175 miles per year. I changed the oil every other year (drained oil looks like new), cleaned it up, and put it away for the year. It has always been stored indoors in a heated building. My philosophy is to treat my equipment very gently. I feel the payoff is greater reliability and extended equipment life. This bike was always treated that way and received a lot of TLC.1. I installed a Dyna S CD ignition. All original parts will be included if you prefer points.2. New drive chain and sprockets about three years ago. I used a drive chain with a repair link instead of a continuous chain.Items included with sale:1. Wind screen.2. Original shop manual.3. Several books on the Z1.4. Half dozen oil filters.5. Rebuilt carbs about 5 years ago. I saved all original parts.6. I replaced rubber fuel tubing a few years ago. I saved the original retaining clamps.7. Chrome rear view mirrors. I used these because it was easier to move the bike into storage through a doorway.8. A headlamp and taillight.
