The role will focus on strengthening OpenText brand and solution acceptance in the M&E industry, driving pipeline opportunities through marketing campaigns, accelerating the lead to opportunity cycle with sales enablement, and increasing market share through strategic customer and opportunity support. The position will be global in scope with primary focus on market segments in the United States, and will support marketing activities for M&E in key regions across the global. The position will report to the Director, Industry Marketing. The Industry Strategist will create and own the business plan for his/her industry and will be in charge of prioritization, messaging, marketing strategy and program execution. The Industry Strategist will take a solutions approach to serving the market by identifying key mission critical solutions that solve enterprise info management problems for the Media & Entertainment industry, and developing messaging and materials that target the buying team for our customers and prospects including IT and line of business, and for the partner ecosystem. The Industry Strategist will participate in industry activities through organizations, speakerships, articles and social media. The role will collaborate closely with counterparts in product marketing, corporate communications and field marketing to create and execute the business plan, as well as interact with market influencers and sales, developing relationships with industry analysts, marquis customers and providing strategic account support.
